Our Middletown, CT office has an immediate opening for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to participate in the design, application and accuracy of facility mechanical engineering services provided by the company. The services include HVAC design, plumbing design, fire protection design and contract administration

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering and 10-15 years of relevant experience
  • CT PE, or ability to obtain one within six months
  • Proficiency in electronic drawing using AutoCAD
  • The ability to use electronic equipment sizing and selection programs and the understanding of electronic building load and energy analysis software such as DOE 2, eQuest, HAP or Trace

Responsibilities:

A demonstrated ability to apply these standards is a requirement for the position. In addition to individual design effort on specific projects, this individual will be responsible for directly supervising other mechanical design staff. Regular reporting about the current status of project related issues to ensure a project’s completion on time and within an allotted budget is part of the positions’ responsibilities.

The position requires an individual capable of independent work and site investigation. In addition to individual design effort on specific projects this individual has a responsibility for coordination with company administrative, mechanical, structural and civil personnel. Travel for project related site investigation and contract administration may be required.

AI Engineers is seeking a Senior Construction Estimator to assist with construction projects in the New York City area. This position will work closely with designers, engineers, and clients to effectively execute cost estimates needed to complete construction projects while adhering to quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Construction Management, Engineering, or other related field
  • Minimum experience of 10 years in construction estimating, and 5 years in design build estimating
  • Ability to perform in a technology-based work environment, including use of electronic design tools and Microsoft Office suite is required

We are currently looking for an experienced Team Leader to perform NBIS Bridge and Ancillary Structure inspection in our Richmond or Chantilly, VA office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: performing field inspections and load rating, preparing scheduling, writing inspection reports, assuring QA/QC, and project coordination. Position will require the ability to work in the field year round, with occasional night and weekend work, and limited travel.

The candidate must be qualified as a team leader in accordance with the National Bridge Inspection Standards. ABSCE degree with a minimum experience of 5 years in bridge inspection is preferred.

Candidates should possess extensive technical experience, the ability to manage manpower and financial resources, and strong leadership and communication skills. Bridge Design/Rehabilitation and Bridge Load Rating experience will be a plus. Completion of a NHI two (2) week Bridge Inspector’s Training Certificate is required. The successful candidate will be responsible for project recordkeeping functions.
