Our Story

AI Engineers traces its roots to 1991 as a local CT bridge engineering firm founded by current CEO Abul Islam, PE, FASCE. Over time, our once small practice has expanded in both its geographic footprint and services offered to provide our growing public and private clients with a true multidisciplinary experience. After nearly 30 years of hard work and collaboration, AIE has emerged as a leading national firm with offices in CT, NY, MA, VA, RI, and PA and a diverse project portfolio across the country.

Today, as we continue to grow and further develop our capabilities and expertise, we are excited about the direction our firm is headed in and inspired to continue implementing new and innovative technology initiatives that add value to all of our engineering disciplines.  Whether we are inspecting a historic bridge, designing a roadway, or building clean water infrastructure, AIE will continue to question what's possible to improve the quality of life for our clients and, ultimately, for our communities.
