Our New York City office is currently looking for an Office Engineer to work at any one of our highway, bridge, and building construction project locations throughout New York City. The successful candidate will be responsible for project recordkeeping functions. The Office Engineer will be expected to generate and process payment estimates, compile change orders, coordinate material testing, update spreadsheets and various logs, and process contractual correspondence. This position reports directly to the Resident Engineer or Chief Inspector and supervises clerical staff.

The prospective candidate shall be licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of New York and will direct the organization and coordination of the inspectors and the on-site Construction Quality Control inspection of the execution of the construction by the Design-Builder, ensuring the construction is executed in accordance with the approved designs, drawings, and specifications related to the work under construction.  Other responsibilities may include:

Duties will include:
  • Manage day-to-day construction oversight/Resident Engineering efforts on Construction Projects.

  • Manage CM inspection staff and the delivery of daily inspection reports in accordance with clients’ requirements.

Requirements:
